LOS ANGELES, April 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Severe tornadic activity was reported in Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri and Arkansas. In Arkansas and Oklahoma, where the damage appears to be the most severe, entire neighborhoods were destroyed and loss of life has been reported. Farmers Insurance catastrophe claims representatives, agents, other personnel and resources are engaged and prepared to help customers who suffer damage from the storm.
Farmers Chief Claims Officer Keith Daly emphasized that the Farmers catastrophe claims teams currently are on their way to the area. In addition to our claims handling staff, the Farmers Mobile Claims Center (MCC) catastrophe bus will arrive in the storm damaged area to help customers with their claims and provide relief to the local residents. Farmers Insurance personnel will be able to file claims on the spot and provide storm victims with basic necessities.
Catastrophe claims staff have initiated triage at this time via geo-technology, to identify customers located within the path of the tornado.
