DALLAS-FORT WORTH, Texas, April 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- A system of severe weather moved through multiple states in early April. Damaging tornadoes, hail, severe winds and flooding were reported in Illinois, Kansas, Missouri and Texas. Farmers Insurance Catastrophe claims representatives have been deployed to help customers who suffered damage from these storms.
Farmers Chief Claims Officer Keith Daly emphasized that the Farmers catastrophe claims teams are in the area and continue to assist customers through the claims process. More than 100 adjusters are in the area assisting customers with their claims. Farmers Insurance estimates that the total cost of the expected claims volume from these states will be approximately $75 million.
