A traditional building topping-off ceremony will be held on May 26, 2010, 10 A.M. at the building expansion site of Farmers Insurance Group at 5665 Kraft Lake Drive, Caledonia, MI 49316. The building expansion will eventually bring 1,600 jobs to the state and employ 420 workers in its construction.

"I am proud to announce that the expansion, when completed will include a 264,045-square-foot office building and a 100,000-square-foot print and distribution center, and will eventually bring up to 1,600 jobs to the state," noted Woudstra.

"There are 27 West Michigan firms assigned to this project, making up more than 90% of all construction subcontracts. Over the duration of construction more than 420 local construction workers will be employed on site because of this project. At the height of construction there will be more than 200 workers on site at once," Woudstra stated.
