Over 200 Firefighters Will be Honored at Appreciation Cookout Co-Sponsored by Dallas Fire-Rescue and Farmers Insurance

Dallas Fire-Rescue Chief Eddie Burns, Sr. and Farmers Insurance Group of Companies® will join together to host a special "Firefighter Appreciation Cookout" on April 12, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at the Dallas Fire Department Training Center located at 5000 Dolphin Road in Dallas.

The cookout is part of the Farmers' Catastrophe Preparedness Road Show tour through which the insurance company, in partnership with local fire departments, provides residents with information on how to prepare for a disaster and its aftermath. Also featured will be the Farmers' Mobile Command Center Bus (MCC), a 46 foot long rolling communications center equipped with state of the art communications equipment and supplies.

A special "Firefighter Appreciation Cookout" will also be prepared for area Fire chiefs and firefighters at the Dallas Fire-Rescue Training Center
