Los Angeles, Calif. (July 26, 2016) - Now with over 37,000 acres burned and at 25 percent containment, the Sand Fire in Southern California spread and spurred the evacuation of thousands of local residents who are now being allowed to return to the previously evacuated areas. Farmers Insurance® has been responding to further assist customers who are filing claims as a result of the wildfire and working with officials to obtain additional information on the 18 known structures that have been destroyed.
Farmers Insurance catastrophe claims staff are in the area with a Mobile Claims Center set up at Hart High School, 24825 N. Newhall, Santa Clarita, CA, 91321. Catastrophe response team members at Farmers® are available to help customers file or discuss their claim as well as providing sundries, water and snacks to anyone who has been evacuated as a result of the wildfire.
Farmers customers in the area who have damage from the conflagration can call their local agent or the 24-hour claims center for assistance.
