LOS ANGELES, April 4, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Intense hail and wind from two severe weather systems caused extensive damage to homes and vehicles last week in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Farmers Insurance® catastrophe claims representatives, agents and other personnel began helping affected customers the same day and continue to provide assistance to those impacted by the storms.

Farmers reports more than 22,000 claims filed already and anticipates another 16,000 claims as a result of the storms. Overall the insurer estimates these combined storms will result in more than $250M in losses.
