WOODLAND HILLS, Calif., Jan. 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Farmers Insurance® today presented the Armed Services YMCA San Diego (ASYMCA San Diego) with a donation for $20,000 to the Camp Hero Program. This 13-week summer camp provides free or low-cost youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility programs for junior enlisted military and their families to make military life easier.
In addition to the donation, more than 50 Farmers volunteers joined staff from the ASYMCA San Diego, active duty volunteers and community members for the monthly Neighborhood Exchange food drive that provides low-income military families in need with an opportunity to stock their cupboards with groceries.

"Working with the Armed Services YMCA San Diego allowed Farmers to do something special for military families, which makes up such a significant portion of the local community."
