WOODLAND HILLS, Calif., Jan. 27, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Farmers Insurance® will debut its newest television ad, featuring PGA TOUR player and Farmers brand ambassador Rickie Fowler, on Thursday, January 28, 2016. The new spot, "Romantic Rodent," is the national insurer group's latest addition to its recently announced We Know From Experience campaign, which launched in December.
"I'm excited to be part of the new Farmers ad spot. I'm a fan of the new campaign, and shooting the commercial was a lot of fun," said Fowler. "Farmers has been a great partner to me over the years, and I look forward to playing this week at my hometown event."
This humorous commercial looks at an actual claim that Farmers covered for its customer when a piece of jewelry was lost at a golf course. In a creative twist and "what if" scenario, the "Romantic Rodent" ad explores what may have become of a missing engagement ring. Indicative of the name of the commercial, the culprit turns out to be a rodent, who stole the ring to propose to his love interest. The ad is set to air on the Golf Channel and CBS during the Farmers Insurance Open broadcast and nationally throughout the year.

Developed by the insurer's agency of record, RPA, the new campaign continues the evolution of positioning Farmers as the company consumers should look to for consumer-centric knowledge and insurance smarts.
The campaign will also feature other unusual claims covered by Farmers at the online Hall of Claims portal.
In addition to appearing in the latest We Know From Experience commercial, Farmers created an entertaining online video of Fowler answering 37 personal and offbeat questions, answered while playing a round of golf.
