Joining Farmers representatives for the special Grand Opening event were: Senator Michael McLachlan of the 24th district; Mayor of Danbury, Mark Boughton; Representative Janice Giegler of the 138th district; Insurance Director for the Connecticut Insurance Department, George Bradner.

The new facility will house approximately 25 full-time employees who will oversee the recruitment and training of prospective new Agency Owners.
Beginning in 2011, Farmers began a concerted effort to expand its presence along the eastern seaboard. The national insurer opened new offices in Pennsylvania in the first part of that year, followed by New Jersey later in the year. In 2012, it opened operations in Georgia and Maryland.
