LOS ANGELES, July 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Farmers Insurance, the largest insurer headquartered in Los Angeles, today signed a statement of support with the Department of Defense office of Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), committing to seeking ways to increase opportunities for Guardsmen, Reservists and Veterans. • Fully recognize, honor and enforce the Uniformed Services Employment and Re-Employment Rights Act (USERRA);
• Provide its managers and supervisors with the tools they need to effectively manage those employees who serve in the Guard and Reserve;
• Honor the values, leadership and unique skills service members bring to the workforce and encourage opportunities to hire Guardsmen, Reservists and Veterans; and
• Continually recognize and support the nation's service members and their families in peace, in crises and in war.

Joining Smith in signing the ESGR statement of support was Mr. Paul Mock, ESGR National Chair.
