TOPEKA, Kan., Feb. 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The West Ridge Mall in Topeka is the site of a severe weather preparedness day for all Kansans, this Saturday, March 2, from 10 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Farmers Insurance will join Jenifer Bowen, Meteorologist at the National Weather Service Office in Topeka, and the Weather Service team for a full day of informative discussions and demonstrations on how to cope with the recent storms and prepare for severe tornado and storm weather later this year.
"Farmers will have one of its Mobile Claims Center Buses (MCC) on hand during the day to greet residents, answer questions about insurance and provide disaster packets filled with tips for homeowners," stated Paul Crosetti, Farmers Kansas State Executive Director.
"Severe Weather Preparedness Day is an informative and interactive event for families to come learn about severe weather phenomena, from flash floods to tornadoes, and also how to plan and protect yourself when severe weather strikes your neighborhood," noted Bowen. "We invite everyone to attend this important Preparedness forum."
