PITTSBURGH, Sept. 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- On average, every minute in America a baby is born prematurely. More than 17,000 of Pennsylvania's babies will be born this year, and Farmers Insurance Group is working with the March of Dimes to change this.

March for Babies, the March of Dimes' largest fundraiser, helps fund lifesaving research and educational programs aimed at helping moms have healthy babies. This year, the Pittsburgh event raised over $600,000.
"The Pittsburgh Farmers team, headed by AgencyPoint Director Dave Howard was a top team raising over $22,000 locally for this important cause," explained Pittsburgh March of Dimes Executive Director," Sherri Browning.

Ms. Browning presented the March of Dimes Crystal Award to Howard at "Farmers AgencyPoint Customer Appreciation Day" September 24. "As a father Dave got his team involved to raise more than $22,000, plus, they have not only raised the funds, but also raised the awareness of babies who are born premature or with birth defects," Ms. Browning said.
