GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Farmers Insurance Chief Executive Officer Robert Woudstra and President and COO Jeff Dailey will welcome dignitaries, Farmers agents, executives, and employees at the "Grand Opening" of the Farmers Insurance new Grand Rapids, MI facilities September 13.

"Farmers has been in Michigan since 1949, and this expansion is a continuing commitment to customer service excellence and growth in this great state. Farmers will hire up to 1,600 people to fill positions in these buildings in the next few years," Woudstra noted.
"The two new buildings add 365,000 square feet to the existing Farmers complex," Woudstra said. "The first building is a 265,000 square feet office building which includes Farmers HelpPoint®, ServicePoint®, and 21st Century® Customer Service Centers, Business Insurance Operations, Billing Operations, Human Resources and the University of Farmers for training. The second building is a 100,000 square foot Print Distribution Center."
