LOS ANGELES, Jan. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Todd Brooks, Vice President - Field Operations, Eastern Growth Markets, has been appointed Senior Vice President – Eastern Zone, effective immediately, according to the Farmers Insurance Group. The Zone includes the states of Alabama, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia and Wisconsin.

Mr. Brooks joined Farmers in June 1987 as a claims adjuster in Springfield, Illinois. Mr. Brooks continued to advance to positions of greater responsibility throughout the claims department from 1987 to 1996 until he was promoted to Commercial Underwriting Team Manager in North Aurora Commercial Center in 1996.
In November 1998, Mr. Brooks transferred to the Colorado Springs Commercial Center as Commercial support team manager. A year later, he was assigned Colorado Springs service center marketing support manager. In November 2000 Mr. Brooks transferred to Utah where he took over the position of division marketing manager of the Utah State Office.
He relocated to Farmers Home Office in June 2002 as a marketing consultant II in Sales Training. Following that assignment, he moved up to Northern California as inland market manager of the Northern California Sate Office, a position he held until he was appointed State Executive Director, California Inland State Office in June 2006. In 2007, Mr. Brooks returned to Farmers Home Office as the Vice President and Chief Underwriting Officer in Personal Lines Underwriting and was promoted to his current position of Vice President Field Operations, Eastern Growth Markets in 2010.
Mr. Brooks holds a Bachelor of science degree in Marketing from Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois. He is also graduated in Claims Administration and holds a (GCA) designation.
A native of Havana, Illinois, Mr. Brooks and his wife, Judy, and children, Kelsie and Kennedy, reside in Moorpark, California.
