"Farmers is thrilled to be joining with the March of Dimes to bring these exciting events to our local community," said Chanda Sperry, Farmers Northwest ServicePoint® vice president in Oregon. All proceeds from the 5K race registrations and Softball Tournament team entries will be donated to the March of Dimes.

"We have already received a number of registrations for the 5K race and the softball tournament but available spots are filling fast and we want to make sure that all interested teams and individuals register by August 31 in order to assure they receive their commemorative t-shirt," said Laurel Gray, director in the Farmers Northwest ServicePoint® office who is overseeing the days' events.

Funds raised by this event support lifesaving research and educational programs aimed at giving every baby a healthy start. The March of Dimes, in partnership with Farmers Insurance, is helping to reduce the number of premature babies by funding research to find the answers to premature birth and providing comfort and information to families who are affected.
