Robert Woudstra, CEO of Farmers Group, Inc., announced the promotion of David Travers, former Senior Vice President of Service Operations to Executive Vice President of Operations.

"David's career in the insurance industry spans over 28 years and includes hands-on experience as a front-line employee and progressive leadership experience in policy service, claims and underwriting," notes Mr. Woudstra.
"David joined Farmers more than three years ago as the leader of customer service operations for agents and customers. He consistently champions the importance of delivering a superior customer experience throughout our organization. He has extensive experience in training, project management and process engineering. David's role has been expanded to include additional enterprise operational functions, as well as oversight of the 21st Century Insurance integration as it moves forward to completion. I wish him well in his new leadership role."
Mr. Travers joined Farmers in April, 2006 as Senior Vice President Service Operations. He leads customer service operations for agents and customers, including Billing, Agent Support Center (HelpDesk), ServicePoint® and related operations. He most recently led the successful consolidation of the 10 personal lines service centers into one operating model -- ServicePoint.
Mr. Travers holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, from Regis University, Denver, Colorado. He also completed the Wharton Advanced Executive Education Program at the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Travers and his wife Cindy reside in Los Angeles, California. Their son Bryan attends North Texas State University. Their daughter Jakki is a teacher in San Antonio, Texas and the mother of their grandchild Caleb.
