Frank Ceglar has been promoted to the position of Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Farmers Group, Inc., Farmers CEO Robert Woudstra has announced.

Mr. Ceglar's distinguished legal career with Farmers began in 1977 when he was hired as Assistant Corporate Counsel. Before joining Farmers, Mr. Ceglar practiced law for an insurance defense firm and for a national Certified Public Accounting firm. During his Farmers career, Mr. Ceglar has been promoted several times, most recently in 2008 when he was named Senior Vice President and Associate General Counsel, and later in 2008 when he was named Acting General Counsel.
A native of Akron, Ohio, Mr. Ceglar received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and his law degree from the University of Akron.
Mr. Ceglar is a member of the Insurance Law Committee of the California Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and the Conference of Insurance Counsel
