Awards Presentation to Be Held Saturday, June 19 at 10:00 a.m.

   WHAT:   Sixteen local students will be awarded cash scholarships and
           other prizes for their winning photos depicting Latino Life in
           the Sacramento Region.  Over 250 guests will honor the Farmers
           Insurance Young Americanos Photography Competition winners at a
           reception following the unveiling of their winning entries.  The
           winning students will receive over $3,500 in scholarships.
           The winning photographs will be on public display at La Raza
           Galeria Posada in Sacramento beginning June 19 through the end of
           July.

   WHY:    Young Americanos is a multi-faceted program that annually awards
           thousands of dollars in scholarships to students.  Young
           Americanos was developed by Farmers Insurance as an adjunct
           program to the Smithsonian Institution's Americanos: Latino Life
           in the United States traveling photography exhibition which is on
           display at La Raza Galeria Posada in Sacramento.  The Young
           Americanos photography competition is being sponsored locally by
           Farmers Insurance in partnership with La Raza Galeria Posada.
